counting mail must mean cuts!!!

we had to count all our mail in our office this week and it was the lightest week weve had in a long time mail must of been down 50% easy the DOM says its nothing sinister his arse even sky mags arent in and you could set your callender by them a wonder wot they are gonna hit us with now?

Thank goodness I was't counting mail this weeks as Mon/Thur/Fri had 100% call rate Wed was quiet but with lapsing still went over and today was busy with sky and only 19 calls short of 100%. busiest week done for a while. Even with Christmas pressure never had 3 days in the same week at 100%

It could have been due to the interim agreement, after all I think that RM agreed to an "audit" of traffic figures......Maybe they were just checking your figures against the "official" figures they supply I started a thread about this here http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... =1&t=23682

Really light in the MC's too,but saying that it always is this time of year...Good time for RM to audit though isnt it?They claim this as an "average" week,then budget the whole year from this weeks figures,thus justifying job cuts,or am i being cynical?

We have been counting in our office too but this is apparently to do with the development of the Indoor Workload Tool. (IWT)
It wasn't total mail they were interested in as such, but the statistical variation between walks.
