Who gets the new FULL TIME contract... A or B?

There is going to be a new full time contract given out in our office ( Surprising I know, but it's happening) I'm looking for opinions/ comments on the following.

Person A - has 30 hour contract, but has been paid for 40 hours a week for more than 2 years due to them being on a temporary full time job. They have 5 years service.

Person B - has 30 hour contract, has been paid for 30 hours a week since starting. They have 10 years service.

Who gets first pick of the contract? and why?

Person B but person A should have been in touch with their union rep to get made up to full time if he has been doing that full time round for so long.

I'd go for Option C as it's quite clear with RM that'll both will get shafted and some other Arse Kissing Blue Eyed Boy will get it..

Both of them should get a full time contract, if as they are both done over 2 years sentence.

Or even split it 35 hours each..

Morally it's not as clear cut as it seems.

Fair enough B has seniority over A so he will get the contract but does that mean A will revert to 30 hours after 2 years of full-time money and concievably have to jack in his job because he needs a full-time wage.

If RM can shaft people to save then they will

Eg. both people are on 30 hours
Person 1 works 30 hours only....end of.
Person 2 works 30 hours plus 10+ hours overtime (overtime is a different budget)

Hence both work 30 hours each, office hours & budget stay the same work still gets done.

we'll all be part time if we don't fight the oncoming plans.
