Milking the Pink Pound

A postman has to be different things to different people.
So when I deliver to the sheltered housing complex I try to be the son the old dears never had. (Or never visits - bastard)
When I deliver to the journalist who works for a left-wing newspaper I am militantly pro union yet two doors up, when I deliver to the small businessman I am Mr. Modernisation himself.It just makes the day easier.
I also have a number of "luvvies" on my round - media,TV,theatre types and as they are all BAANBN I behave in an outrageously camp fashion.(Not too difficult for me TBH).They have disposable income and they were very generous at xmas.
My floater is now complaining that when he delivers to certain addresses, men come rushing out (usually in a state of undress)only to be disappointed it's him and not me. He thinks it is a shameful way to behave,leading them to believe one thing, when really I am happily married with children.
I think it's a case of "by any means necessary" (Malcolm X) when it comes to xmas tips and I will happily milk the pink pound for all it's worth.

I think your floater needs to get a life! We are in a customer service industry, I know a few posties that do service beyond the call of duty
