Just wondering if under the freedom of information act if it possible to find out what bonuses the Doms and line managers throughout the country have recieved in the past 24 months??

Im also wondering if it's possible to obtain information on myself, i.e writen by hand, email and even mobile phone record's text etc, im only wondering this as i have seen an email left open by my d.o.m, which said i was an awkward little s**t for asking to many question's and wanting to fill out a accident report. this is information on me so i should be able to have access to it, any info would be good, this is my first post, so any links would be good

You will get a reply back saying that info taes too long to obtain and cost too much therefore RM belive they do not have to give the info.

Looked into it further bro and I do not think that this type of information would be released. The undermentioned link will clearly give you a better example of what I'm talking about. Some requests are successful whilst others are rejected and there again some are only partially answered.

Subject access request

There is a general right of access to personal data. This is the right by a data subject to see the personal data held about the data subject by the data controller. The process by which this right is exercised is called a ‘subject access request’ (often abbreviated to SAR).

A data controller has 40 calendar days in which to provide the requested data, if no exemption applies. The data controller is allowed to ask for proofs of identity, and to charge an administration fee of £10. If proofs of identity are required and/or the fee is requested, the 40 days begins when the proofs and/or the fee are received.

If the data controller fails to comply with a subject access request, the data subject can apply to court, which may support the request and order the data controller to comply. There is no obligation on the data subject to state why he/she is making a subject access request.

The right of access to personal data is the key provision for the exercise of other rights under the Act. Unless data subjects can learn what data are held about them, their rights to correct or challenge it may become valueless.

After 1 January 2005, for public authorities it applies to such data however it is held, although there are still some limitations with regard to filing systems which are not computerised.

I ve asked my rep and one of our 600 drivers (has his ear to the ground always) and no one knows anything about managers getting bonuses

At the start of this financial year, it was announced that management would be rewarded with lucrative bonusses if they achieved the targets set them. DIMs are going to get £4000 in April/May. DSMs are to get a staggering £9000 each. Postal workers, without whom, there would be no business to plunder, are to get diddly squat. We're just peasents after all.

Whether or not, they're still on target to plunder whatever profit we make for them, is anyone's guess. Personally, my guess would be yes, they're still set to plunder whatever profit that postal workers have largely created.

you seem to be asking 2 very different questions here.

in answer to your first - why do you want to know what bonus they are getting? it will probably be (a) more than you earn in a year (b) something you'll never get in a year and (c) useless you sell your soul to the devil (sorry RM) you won't want. don't waste time getting angry about the money they get for old rope it will only make you (even more) bitter.....

in answer to your second - it would appear that you already know what information they have about you because you read it in an email over someone's shoulder. you may well be interpretting the info wrong. it may well go on to say............he asks too many questions and is a pain in the trolley but he works hard and can be trusted. alternatively you could fill in forms till the cows come home and never find out what they have on file about you

so whats really eating you? managers talk about you behind your back? is that anything new? grow up and get over it or get another job

On the second point.,thats just not true...it would be prudent to indeed request information using the data protection act(if thats the route you want to go ) and it is YOUR RIGHT to know what these lovely people have written about you. The arsewipes use a place in Aldershot and count on people NOT bothering to ask,you can bet Adam Croziers bonus that there will be at least a couple more emails etc that have your been circulated around between managers that your a troublemaker.

Just thought that in the worse case we do end up going on strike again then if we got this info out in the public it would benifit us. The public would be on our side when they find out that the service they get is going downhill and the managers are getting 2k 3k 5k 9k or whatever bonus!!
