Unsure of exactlt what type of van RM are getting but been told small car type van,like the Electric meter readers vans.

If this is a fact ,on our rounds in their current small size so Management keep telling us they sre ,most days we are averaging 6 big bags and golf trolleys.

These new rounds are going to be roughly 1.5 times the size of our exsisting rounds,so that means for 2 men and a van you are looking at 18 bags of mail ,
2 golf trolleys oh and dont forget all the packets.How on earth all this going to fit?

Ah your forgetting about the 10% falling mail volumes every year. That means that you'll be able to fit 3 full deliveries into 2 bags on 1 trolley. Oh, and it'll only take about 20 minutes to deliver it. We'll be on Easy Street, or maybe Easy Avenue.

Seriously though, when I first heard this ludicrous suggestion, it was meant to be Smart Cars, you know the ones with enough room in the back for a packet of crisps.

As a matter of interest, what type of vans are being used for park & loop?

CWU have a view as to what type of vans should be used.

One criteria the CWU have is a side door.

Shame the CWU website LTB section is not up and running as there is a bit of info in there.

fuc**n great we are all worried about longer deliveries and the stress and strain of it and all the union are worried about is "does the van have a side door" f**k off so it seems not if we will be on longer deliveries but when so much for our vote
