Colder then the south pole

News report's are saying it is now colder here than it is in the south pole .......... and what has R/M given to it's troop's to handle the snow and cold.????????? I was given a pair of snow chain's to put on my shoes.

consider yourself lucky they run out of snow chains in my office last year when it snowed and didnt think to order anymore for this year as if it was never going to snow again.

I got to go home early for the last 3 days as deliveries have been suspended due to ice on the pavements.

Theyre trying to push us out bit by bit day by day asking people to go out with a driver to do firms.

How can you deliver mail if theres an inch of solid ice on the pavements?

youre lucky weve had to just get on with it sheets of ice all over the pavements too.

sorry but we have and its bloody hard but the longer you dont deliver the mail piles up its got to be delivered some time

we got snow chains but have been out every day the snow ice and freezing temps are taking its toll on the office

today we where out in -14c and people are struggling the vans keep freezing theres a limit and the uniforms aint designed for this

We have also run out of chains and i take mine home. We have completed deliveries either 100% or 70% ish on the rurals and its been tough and more by luck that no one has been hurt, yet.

Our rep is sick, our dom declared it safe to deliver and no one is fighting it.

The best i can do is not take it all out and go slow and steady.

I got snow chains. But they were to small to get on my feet. Im size 15 though.

We didn't get given snowchains here but deliveries have been suspended for the last 3 days and the mail is really starting to pile up now but we can't go out and deliver with several inches of solid ice on the pavements.
