our office is odds on to fail tomorrow(nw) but the timely help of the bad weather arriving gives rm an excuse to hide behind!!!...when the truth is the revision they put in place is the real reason why our office is to fail for the first ever time.....its a feckin disgrace! :evil/mad

100% true. I'm in a N.W. office and the scenario is exactly the same.
Yesterday our DIM stared at 2 yorks of undelivered packets for several minutes, then walked away. The same two yorks were still there, undelivered, hours later. His budget must be far more important than customers packets. I hope he will write to them to explain.

i work in dh area but am off due to my mother suddenly passing away :sad: but phoned one of the lads and he told me its heaving and still a van to come so could fail BUT im sure some of the office bitches will bail them out as usual

Going to be huge failures around Leeds today, the snow is BAD! I cant see any posties doing there rounds let alone the van drivers too!!! :nana

You lot in Leeds must be soft :Very Happy We had same weather in Huddersfield - This is a picture outside my front door and we still had to do full deliveries today - I didn't as I went in to help sort on my day off.

Haha we Leeds folk aren’t soft!!! Were Northerners after all :crazy: :Very Happy

This is outside my house now and much worse in some places, I will be amazed if we see our postie. I may phone up my office and see if there are letting them out to do the deliveries.

Fair Dos - Fothsn that looks bad - we have not seen a gritter in Huddersfield Town Centre Yet and its 10am. :crazy: .

It's still snowing here too it hasnt stopped, I have not venture out so dont know what the main roads are like but I would imagine they have being gritted, side streets who knows :dance I find it great I honestly cant remember when it was like this during christmas, I just hope fellow posties be carefull out there!!!! :Very Happy :Very Happy

Your right about the ones down south a little bit of snow and the whole city shuts down lol :crazy: Only teasing.

Failed today theres at least 12 yorkies of mail left for us on returning to work on tuesday.

Lots of christmas cards left disgusting.

packets failed KA area in scotland mainly around ten to twelve yorks the first time ever i have seen that in fifteen years

Our office failed around 5 yorks of packets.Nothing to do with the weather - simply not enough resources allocated to the job.
We were told we didn't have to take packets "that didn't look Christmassy."WTF.
IPS stopped at 7.45 so Xmas cards failed as well.
Well done RM for the most horrendous f**k up at xmas I have ever seen.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

cleared ours,but we were told how bad it is over the mainland,i feel for youse lot,even worse for the public who are being failed by RM an absolute disgrace.

Get used to this situation guys cos in the new year what with all the changes there will be a lot of failures thru the year so Christmas will be one massive f*ck up, but in 20 odd years in the job this has to have been the worst organised yet, probably due to the savings(less nightshift,not needing guys to work day off etc) all to save a few quid.....to**ers...Merry Christmas :oops:
