OK people, Who will have a clear office come Xmas eve?
Considering the lack of staff, bad xmas management, a massive increase in packets and no-one can be arsed considering the last strikes.

We were told to go out before we were finished sorting but told we cant have any backlog

The plan is that we get the car park clear, line up about 20 industrial waste skips, bring a JCB through the double doors, scoop everything we have left and fill the skips, next week we arrive to a completely clear office - simple!

With the ice packed down on the roads no one wants the extra docket for parcels and packets. Its a open docket "fill your boots" situation and folks including me just want to get home in the warm. No good will really so i cant see it being totally clear christmas eve

No lack of staff at my D.O, no AL for two weeks as per WF agreement gives us 9 extra people.

I imagine we will clear IPS is only lasting 90 mins and Thursday is a long day due to longs and shorts with some paid to 3pm.

They are even offering 2 to a van for packets because of the conditions and still not many takers.
We didn't clear packets last christmas eve,looks like the same this year.

Same as every other day. If there's no audit then who gives a sh1t.

half our offices mail is still in the frames still, ready for tommorrow and remarkably another cut off

There's a few coming in on days off to finish the light bulbs, other than that ours is clear every day. There was absolutely b*gger all on today anyway.

Not in our office i can see peoples xmas prezzies just sitting in bags on peoples frames over the xmas period.

We haven't got any spare staff because the manager thought it woud be a good idea to send them to the main office sorting.
Gets them off our payroll for a few weeks.
Buts its ok cos we don't mind walking about in the snow for 1-2 hours over our time.

First time in my 15 yrs our office wont be clear for Xmas eve.Hardly any pkts done today on the vans and loads of regis failed cos we had vans stuck in the snow.Some of the wks have 2 or 3 pkt bags before we get tomorrows lot.RM have,year on year, tried to do Xmas on the cheap and this year its blown up in their faces.
