Re: happy christmas from royal mail
We normally have a raffle to have xmas eve off, not sure if we are having it this year as no one has come round with the tickets
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
Illegitimi non carborundum

We usually have a raffle for the benefit of a local good cause. With full management backing, too. In fact, it's them selling the tickets!

Tell your DIM to go feck himself dont let him stop your raffle i wish we still had one in our office but as the chap who did run it has now retired we dont have one.
Our DIM is bad but he would never stop the raffle if it were still going they even used to buy raffle tickets they loved it like all of us did. Whilst that raffle was being drawn for those few minutes we were all equall they didnt treat us like shite and we didnt see them a DIM WITT ,until they won somethink and the draw was over.
Do your raffle and stick 2 fingers up to your DIM get your rep to sell the tickets on behalf of the usuall fella bet your DIM doesnt stop him.

Re: happy christmas from royal mail
we have been banned from having a raffle this christmas as the postie who collects and sells the tickets and then buys the prizes in his own time , every year has been told he cannot sell the tickets while at work as it stops us working as we buy them ,
Get him to put it in writing ,then inform the local rag about how some heart wrenching charity is going to suffer for the sake of profit . They love those Bob Cratchet stories at Xmas , nationals might take it up.

just tell him to sell them and about 9am and when the manager asks why then tell both him and the people he is selling them to that they are on their meal relief and they can do what they like on their official meal break.

Its always the ex-raffle sorter outers that complain.
