could someone ask adam crozier if he could spare a few quid out of his reported £1.3 million wage packet to buy some ink for the franking machine so that we dont have to use our own biros and time putting crosses through every bloody christmas card that appears on the IPS in the mornings. On one walk alone a part time postie counted 135 xmas cards which were unfranked!!!

Its not just this time of year it happens, ive noticed over the last year a massive amount of unfranked mail. Especially smallish packets. Mentioned it a few times at WTL and was told its out job to do it if we find it unfranked. Surely someone is getting paid to make sure its all franked and they aint doing there job properly.

Quite frankly, I gave up crossing unfranked stamps as soon as cards started arriving in bulk. I just don't have the time (or inclination) to cross every. single. one. Whoever's job it is to make sure this doesn't happen, and I guarantee it isn't someone who has to physically be out there delivering the stuff (yes desk-jockey's I'm looking at you), should be bloody well sacked.
Also, whilst we are on the subject, which bright spark came up with the idea of those sticker barcodes being slapped right across the address on letters? I had a pile of them the other morning and in the end, fed up with faffing around trying to peel the sodding things off so I could you know- actually SEE the address so I knew where it was supposed to be going, I lumped them all together and sent them back to the mail centre with a question mark written on them. My god, how utterly stupid and out of touch with the job do you actually have to be to not realsie the aggro this will cause?

If your referring to the white, long rectangular stickers then they are the bar codes printed by a FSM, which can't be read by LSMs so they either get sent through and MTT then LSM or more probably this time of year are getting sent to manual sorting.

Ye it is a joke i bet out of the hundreds of cards today only about 10 were franked, and they are so easy to peel of and stick to another card.
Bet customers use them over and over again all they need is some glue.. Must be costing RM thousands..
