holiday entitlement

I've done a search but can omly find topics on buying extra holidays, can anyone tell me what the normal entitlement is for holidays, I am one of the few in my office who get 3 weeks 5 days everyone else gets 4 weeks or more. When will my entitlement go up, I have been a postie for 3 years 3 months.

5 days is a week the basic entitlement is 22½ days and if you work a 5 day week then that works out at 4½ weeks.

Annual Leave entitlement:
On Entry - 4 and a half weeks.
After 5 years - 4 weeks and 3.5 days.
After 15 years - 5 weeks and 1 day.
After 20 years - Six weeks.

You should be getting 4 and a half weeks, yokel.
The odd half day is carried over so you get 4 weeks and two days the first year,
and four weeks and three days on the second year.

If you have got less than your entitlement on your AL form, it may be because you have
taken days out of course which have been deducted from your AL.

Sorry, forgot to mention I am on a 30 hour contract, does that affect my holiday entitlement?

Thank you for your help, I get it now, I am on a 6 day week therefore 3 weeks 5 days is equal to 23 days which is correct. Thanks everyone.

I'm guessing you are on a 5 day week,then you get the same as full timers except your week is 30hrs.
