Anyone know anything about the ACAS/RM review of the Interim Agreement?? Has it happened?

I'm sadly envisaging all parties very satisfied with progress

Subject: Unofficial update on interim agreement discussions

Hi everyone,
The National review meeting went reasonably well yesterday the CWU got our points across very effectively in from of ACAS and the independent chair. Royal Mail now have to produce their projected headcount reduction - in confidence. Also because of the CWU receiving certain documents outlining secret regional plans Royal Mail now have to produce all of their regional plans. Progress is slow especially in delivery it is literally nil and this point was made forcibly today.

There are still major problems in London ACAS have now become more involved and all efforts are being made to sort this out by Monday. It looks like London is being ring-fenced and at present there is very little or no engagement in regard to the interim agreement in London. There's is a Postal Executive meeting on Monday so watch this space.

I read all the topics on this site but I fail to se any informative posts from the PEC or ACAS. We members never get any critical updates and therefore everything on this site is just conjecture. W also lose the battle with the press and public because we cannot fight our corner because we dont know what is happening. Does not the PEC or ACAS have any responsibility to keep members informed. There sed to be some posters who had therir fingers on the pulse but we hear nothing from them now. Question -"What was the outcome of meetings PEC Royal Mail and Acas last Thursday?"

The PEC are due to meet on Monday at 3.

The review was stormy to say the least. As a result there were further national meeings with acas involved till late in the evening Friday and resuming monday. It is touch and go whether that will resove all the current issues or not.

Dale Handon and Peter Walls are regular readers of this site and mention it in the talks, so thats why a lot of people in the know dont want to broadcast it on here.

Maybe they should put it on the union web site then - perhaps we may have some idea as to how the talks are going, how many concessions Royal Mail have made or not and even form an opinion of our own.

I reckon it used to come from that man missing in action, Lovejoy.

Used to make me laugh 'cos it was lots of talk about nothing.

Now there is something to talk about and hear, the report goes missing, along with all those other PEC members on this site...

Didn't hear there was a bit of a love-in with RM and the CWU VIP's at Stansted last week...nice lunch apparently...

That will be Managers harrasing OPG's down in the HYS score and OPG's harrasing OPG's up in the HYS scores.

Only problem is B and H is not being reported, the underlying problem I would say is some OPG's are uncomfortable with the banter in the D.O which can be pretty much free for all no holds barred at times especially when the DOM is not on site which is a regular occurence of late. This is reflected in the comments section of previous HYS survey and I wouldnt be surprised if it's the same in the latest one which we are waiting to be displayed.

Any news on whats happening in the meeting at the moment, do i need to get the barrel for the fire ready. Any news so we can spread the word to members, or so we can prepare for WAR!!! (very dramatic )
