D2Ds over Christmas

Just had a week off. Back in tomorrow. Wondering if anyone can tell me if I'll have some D2Ds to deliver next week?
Someone said we don't get them over Christmas? Which weeks?

I suppose it makes the delivery easier - but it also cuts my wages by £28 a week for 3 weeks - at a time when the money gets eaten up pretty quickly.

We have another 2 weeks, then 3 weeks off so that's the 2 weeks before chrimbo and the week between chrimbo and new year.

"will comtinue to be excluded from the Christmas pressure" - so that means this week will be the last wek.
"but will now be accepted for delivery for the first full weekin December" - so next week as well too

But that would not make commercial sense either for Royal Mail or the originator.

d2d's are worth £25 a week to me.They help fill my day and in R.M. time .I just don t see the problem with them. If we had one lot a day (with pay) we would have to go to every house so no lapsing.

ofcourse .. 25- 30 quid for 3 weeks out ur wages = roughly 100 quid

but youl get a 100 pound crosiscrooge bonus

so youve got nothing extra :)

Keep an eye out on the new agreement then if RM get their way the number per week will increase but payment will be removed.

£30 a week worse off straight away, coupled with loosing Paid breaks and reduction of working week by 1 hour 40 minutes.

The 35 hour week is 87.5% of current so to stay still we would need a 12.5% pay increase on that alone - coupled with £25-£30 loss on D2Ds is 7.3% to 8.8% basically a 20% cut in wages for a full timer if there is no increase in pay.

PT will be more affected by the loss of D2D payments, but less on the paid breaks as dependent on contract you would loose 2.5 hrs pay a week.
