i got my first wage slip today and under my basic pay i got a £10 defined area supplement, could someone tell me what this is??

yes that is what i went out on strike for back in 1987 for 8 days, it is a payment amount depends on the area you work in, paid every week for hard recuitment areas,

No probably areas like Windsor where the Hoi Polloi do the manual work, its beneath the rest of them
