D2D's agreement

Right, I have searched through the THOUSANDS of threads about D2D's, but got fed up.

I am looking for a copy of whatever agreement it is that says we prep 20% of D2D's IN WORK TIME, not in our own time. I did find one file linked to somewhere, but I need something I can show my boss, not just "I printed this off the 'net!" thing.

Basically, I want an official document, complete with date, authorship, etc etc that I can show to my boss. If it's just one section of a larger doc, I would like a link to the whole document, please! My DOM is a very reasonable guy, and I beleive he genuinly thinks we are supposed to prep in our own time.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Yup, I spoted that one, but I am looking for an entire document, so that it looks more "official", and not just a section without any provenance...

Do you have the whole document available?

This is a proposed agreement from the CWU.

Was it accepted by the RM? Do you know when? Is there a RM policy document that can verify this?

Thats is the agreement - towards the end there are various section which mention amendments to it - it an old agreement but it is still the current and extant one.

Prep them in your duty time end of!

Look on RM intranet and you will find an official doc on how to prep a dely, this is done in several parts and guess what, there is a part on prep d2d about no: 6 or 7 i think but it clearly states that they are prepped as you do the dely............. :dance

sorry to disagree with all of you. but my D2D agreement states that all D2D items are meant to be delivered seperately, so how would you need time to prep something you are not supposed to prep in the first place ?.just take one out a day ,put at back of your hand of mail, and deliver the calls you go to,and claim for what you do. it should be at least 80% even on a quiet
day. SIMPLE

I had my 2nd day on the job today. Was asked to prep D2D's before I finished for the day. I ended up prepping the entire frame in about 20 minutes. Was it wrong to prep the entire frame? Or will it have done the postie I was shadowing a favour?

I'm starting to think I cocked up by doing the entire frame..

Assuming someone will be prepping your duty again tomorrow, it's not a good idea to fill the frame with door to doors. No one likes throwing up when the frames full, and also, I have found, that the person prepping doesn't care if the letters go in the door to door item. I had some booklets, and during my walk I found loads of letters amongst the pages of the booklet. Not good, almost delivered hidden letters to wrong houses.
I can see the point about getting the prepping over and done with for the week, but it really is best to do 20 % (or 25% if your day off is midweek and your floater doesn't do them) per day, and to throw them into the frame last.
