The union was fooled by R/M
We were informed this morning that the union was only too aware that R/M were not sticking to the spirit of the agreement reached.
Now how many of us really thought they would do anything other then carry on once they had fooled the union and got us back to work.

I was hopeing that management would stick to the agreement to be honest but not really suprised if they have not.
Still it wont look good for them if we do go back out as it will strengthen our claim that management can not be trusted and have no intention of jointly working with the CWU to reach an agreement in the long run.It could backfire on them big time.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

it'd hard to judge the true feeling's in our office right now. everyone is pretty pissed off with the union for telling us to return to work after lossing so much money and gaining nothing. one of our blokes got an email i think from the union and read it out this morning. i think the union now know's it's been taken for a ride and a lot of it's member's are not to happy right now with they way their being treated by both the union and by royal mail. if they're going to call another strike they better be as quick in calling it as they were in calling them off.

This has been tried before and the ans is to invite him to go around with you on the delivery and see for himself.mvinny wrote:What union? We have been told that 700 hours are to be cut at our delivery office next year!

Re: The union was fooled by R/M
I don't think the union has learnt anything from the last time we were on strike. last time we were told that they would sort out the pensions etc,etc etc. we are no nearer sorting out the pensions and are being treated worse than ever before!!!! what makes the people in charge at the union think royal mail would stick to any " interim agreement," when they are riding over all previous agreements???? the union had an unheard of vote for this strike, so why are they ignoring the wishes of the rank and file members? i for one just do not understand ?
the way things are i only trust the union slightly more than i trust that shower of s**t in charge of royal mail!!!!!
