Re: royal mail christmas cards
We did evening and Sunday deliveries last year - packets only on a voluntary basis. Royal Mail do not provide a delivery service on Sunday as part of their licence and you cannot be forced to work on a Sunday.
We wish to serve - but we will not be servile

We were told to spread them over the week and not to claim overtime if we took them all out at once.Mr Blonde wrote:and I thought that this was going to be a moan about having to take these pieces of s**t out to every single house today.

Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Then you're lucky. We tried to get the rep to let the DOM take them where we were going but apparently those "above him" wanted them all out today. Dont think we will be working on the 20th thats a load of B/S and they cant force you to either.
Where do these rumours start.
I for one certantly wont be working it.

ITS PACKETS, SIGN FORS AND REDELS ONLY - ESPECIALLY 20TH DEC AND IS VOLUNTARY - This was briefed at an WTP meeting some months ago. There are no extra walking deliveries only driving ones.
