removal of early shift allowance and drivers allowance
Hi, Just been informed by DOM that early shift allowance is to be removed next week if you start after 5.30am and drivers allowance is to be stopped. Has this been agreed nationally by the union?

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

On A/L this week got leter from next week they both going.So we all out of pocket.So why should i use a van if not paid to drive it.would make long walk for me but not my problem.What the union saying about this or just being steam rolled in again.What about all these Dums who travel all over getting T&S they going to stop that .What next just not pay us as they feel like it.

Is this just a rogue manager getting himself off on his powertrip for one last time or is there a wider agenda?
In my opinion, RM were trying to provoke a strike for eigteen months, at least, before it went to ballot and with the rumour mill in overdrive again I am wondering if it would suit their agenda for the strikes to resume.
