Couple of q's regarding sickness.
The guy I work with was off in June of this year and got a stage 3 and was told anymore time off and it was the sack. How long is it before this warning goes? If he was off because of a works injury could any action be taken against him? If he had to go to hospital for surgery could any action be taken against him?

No more than 1 absence in any 6 month period lasting for 12 months. Can't remember how many days that 1 absence involves, but I think its low, something like no more than 5 days
I too had an AOD and had a S3 for it and was told if I get another S3 I'm out.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
