My views are that I need to see the new agreement which will be released tomorrow.

Not over the moon though.

I am as unhappy as the rest of you but shouldn't we see the agreed document first?

Hmm, not seen that, have you a link. Are they dropping it because Royal Mail are not going to hire them all now?

what did you expect!

you let the managers walk over you everyday with their promises, and now you are surprised when the
union negotiators are walked over as well. The people, they are dealing with, are professionals, Experts in there field,
and if the experts fail then they are replaced with other experts until we are broken. Just like last time, just like every time.

Where profits are factored into the equation then there is no way but down. Companies from all over will take every inch and squeeze.

Even recently someone made a joke about the about the new courier, about the elastic bands being sub standard and not fit for purpose.
I think the key point in that section was the fact that the bands now come from sri lanka and not england. I mean how is this business
going to car about its workers if it don't car about its suppliers.

try and keep it local at least.

im with ips lets see whats in the details.one things for sure that after the 2007 agreement people will be looking at a clear and concise document which clearly roadmarks the way ahead. so areas that have been disadvantaged by aggressive royal mail management will hopefully be able to backtrack it ,which possibly strengthens the union nationally as we will all be singing from the same hymn book.

one thing for sure is looking at royal mails reaction regards people who took an active part during i/a..

 Never mind-sometime in the future--we can have the satisfaction of saying 'I told you so' to an awful lot of people!
I still see a lot of folks who will have the backbone to walk, due into work shortly, and I know already, that feelings are running so high, --many local disputes will rumble on.
