Are companies who use us for DSA fined as well

Post by Broxi51 »

Hi,
Dont know if anyone has already asked this but are TNT, DHL etc who use Royal Mail for their downstream access fined by postcon or the new equivalent? The reason I ask is that all these companies are going to businesses and promising them a cheaper price and delivered by day A or B. What happens when we strike and it fails to get there? These courier companies know 7 days in advance that we are striking and so have enough time to arrange an alternative service for these businesses they have taken from us. If they promise and fail then they should be fined also.
The time has come to stop turning the other cheek, time to stop shaking our heads in bitter dismay, time to stop mumbling our angry words.
The time has come for union.

No since the breach of contract is outside their control.

BUT you could have a senerio where the leaches have a contract and the mail should be given to us by say wed for a thur delivery and they get it to us either late so it misses the window at the MC or even worse we get it a day late.
Who's looking after that kind of stuff??

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
