When off sick

Post by mandelsons_toenail »

You obviously notify your office that you are sick. BUt with regards to contacting them again, am I right in thinking you only have to inform them when you are returning to work, and that you have 14 days of self certificating?

Do I have to speak to a manager if he/she calls whilst im off sick?

Just a question I was asked today by a colleague as she is being hassled which is no suprise. She ignored the call. :whistle

thank you

It`s seven days self certification then you have to give them a doctors note.
Yes you should speak to them if they phone as these bar stewards will twist it and say your being arkward and have something to hide.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.
