D2d's during strike, what to do with them

hi just wondered what people do with their door to doors during the strikes, ie today was my day off and friday is strike day so i have 3 days to do them, monday i couldnt do any as the frame was so rammed before i arrived (ptimer see) and i was forced to take all the mail and claim o/time. this week the d2d's are extremely heavy local newpapers as well which we have once a month as usual pizza crap and summat else aint opened box yet , do i just have to do 60 % and claim just for streets i manage to do?, i find it a struggle to do them on a normal week never mind when were playing catchup. i still cant see how i can do them when my hours are 9-1 mon-thu and fri and saturday is 6 1/2hrs to prep and deliver. My local rep and manager still reckon i should take d2d's as a seperate bundle as well as my mail which i think is pathetic, dangerous and i aint got circus juggling training.

so what do u lot do when u got les days to deliver or short hours?

NOBODY can force you to work past your scheduled hours of attendance and into O/T ( poss. 30 mins flexing that has to be paid back within that weeks hours. NOT rolled over to next weeks hours. )

It is Illegal to force someone to do O/T

Take your quota of D2D's for that day, only claim the amount that you have actualy done. If you only get 50% done then only book that 50%

PREP them within your duty time , DON't prep in your own time !

If you can't complete your delivery and you don't want O/T inform your Lie Manager that you WONT be stopping out past your time

D2Ds are part of your job. You have to do them BUT you also do them in your work time. They are NOT "extra" or "overtime" or any other way some managers like to look at them as.
I took D2Ds for the top row of my frame on Monday even tho my frame was overflowing from regular mail. I also had to cut off 1/3 of my duty incomplete as I ran out of time but this goes to show that if you do your job as RM wants it done then it becomes impossible. Part of the reason I had to cut off was because I had to prep in and have extra bags for the D2D items, when asked why I couldnt complete I just said because of excess of mail - mainly because I think Ive read on this forum that you cant blame incompletion of duty PURELY on D2D.
I told the manager before I went out I wouldnt be able to complete, he had to have someone else take it out when I got back to the office.

we get 10 minutes a day to make them up
so i deliver whatever is made in 10 minutes.nowhere near 20% of a 900 call walk
so i will do 3 days of 10 minutes worth this week
mind i cut today so i'll probably be streaming all week
