They will go ahead because The Royal Mail and the Labour Government whant them to go ahead.

1: They have no interest in customers despite the sh!te they spout

2: They want to break the Union so that other Unions that are thinking of striking this winter will be put off.

3: They want to weken us so a buyer will easier to find

what about our blooming money, a strike is a stike understood but there used to be a pot for days like this.
The london posties get there london waiting bonus and I persume can afford to have these extra days off while the rest of the country can't.
There is hard working posties in our unit who believe it or not are out there on overtime until as late as 7pm that are on the brink and would therefore assume this is going on all over Great Britain and Northen Ireland.
So what are our subs for if its not to compansate for times like this.

The London posties get london weighting correct, try living in london its bloody expensive. Its not us and them, we are all in this together, in case you are not aware many posties have been on strike since june i have now lost 17 days to strike action money i can ill afford An although i dont agree 100% i understand why we are on strike and the importance of standing up to company that is frankly run by Idiots.
Don't start to fall about after a couple of strikes have faith in the union, its what Royal Mail want us to do start falling out and then going into work, we have had it at our delivery office where someone has come in on a strike day and worked for whatever reason, then someone else has said if there working then iam going too work next strike day.It only takes one or two to wobble then everyone starts to go.

There are important questions here.
1, So what are our subs for if its not to compansate for times like this?
2, I believe Essex where anTi lives is as expensive as London , but they don't have London weighting to full back on?
3, I believe not only Essex is an expensive place to live, but do not our hard working colleagues around this Great country of ours also have expensive places to live too?
4, There has aways been a divide as to why London and parts of outer London get a subsitute payment but I only mentioned that "I presume can afford to have these extra days off" however you have seemed to have just bitten on that part of the cherry and forgotten the rest of the thread

I am however in the process of seeking whether we are entitalled to some form of government payment from Jobcentre Plus due to official industrial action, some people have been very understanding on the other end of the phone and discussed with me various legitimate reasons to claim, however this payment will only be paid for a minimum of 7 days continuous strikes and this payment goes to your partner and not us and only if you have children under 19 years of age.
I have got so far but have to continue tomorrow on yet another telephone number I was given and see where this will take me.
