Family Friendly

Post by clashcityrocker »

In 10 years I have only had one DOM who had children.
Every postie they have taken off the floor to train as a manager has been a Jaffa (seedless).
How do they think they can run a family friendly organisation (as they claim) when none of the managers understands the pressures attached to having a young family?
Is the rest of the country the same or have I been unlucky?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

"Family Friendly" theres nothing about the RM thats Family Friendly, saying that the lads who are on it never leave on time, get pressurised to finish there duty and are basically working overtime for nowt, Ive got to admit though they do piss about and use every excuse under the sun to get bits of there rounds taken off them each and every day, but each to there own

I had a problem with my lino about family friendly/compassionate working, my grandfather had a heart attack at the age of 79, went into work the next day and explained to my lino that i may need to leave urgently his answer was, "we will see what we can do" which i replied if i need to go i'm going, he said I could go but would have to come back to finish my delivery round after   , i felt like smashing him, total lack of respect and compassion, I lived with my grandfather for the first 17 years of my life so he's like a second father to me, I was left with the propect of having a phone call off my mother telling me to get to the hospital straight away as it was touch and go and thinking then about going back to my DO to finish my round, luckily enough he pulled through but what could have been. I often wonder what he would have done if it was his family.

Same lino different occasion, left a packet on top my fitting by accident and my battery had gone on my mobile, so he went in my records to get my emergency numbers, phoned my wife on her mobile in work, (you can imagine my wife she panicked when she hers my lino saying is this the wife of me, i'm his manager from royal mail, she thought i had been in an accident or worse. So i get home and she says your manager has phoned he needs to speak to you urgently, so i phone him and he tells me the MAJOR problem! PRi*k. He says not to worry as he got the mop up to do it, but as i say total lack of respect, but the cheek of it, should have took out a grievance against him on both occasions but didn't :arrrghhh :arrrghhh
