A matter of conscience

Post by rhino49 »

I may be out of order in using these comparisons but consider this:

The government has a conscience about using fair-trade items so that farmers and producers in third world countries get well paid for their labour

The government has a conscience about using eco friendly products to protect the environment

The government has a conscience about how livestock is raised and treated on its way to the butcher

The government has a conscience about illegally trafficked sweatshop workers and the import of items produced by child labour

Why therefore, hasn’t the government got a conscience about bullying and working conditions in a business it owns that employs thousands of British human beings who are proud of the work they do and pay their taxes to fund the government that are their employers?
We wish to serve - but we will not be servile

Corruption.
This government, RM senior management, they all stand to make a packet out of making more cuts in the workforce, errr, I mean modernisation.

I think its a very good question.
I can think of a few more.
Does the government care about our pension deficit despite their culpability,
re the 10 year "pension holiday" ?
postal workers are blameless for the lack of money in the fund,
They have all paid in their contributions their whole working lives.
Haven't they been systematically burgled /fleeced in what amounts to legalized daylight robbery?
I'm a postman-and i know where you live.....
