Signed up for Christmas Casual work this December

Have done it 2 previous years...
When I went to the registration I was asked if I could come in early to clear any backlog caused by any strike action, they probably asked if I could come in to cover any striking workers - I genuinely don't remember as I was confused as they asked if I could possibly 'come in early' to do this. I said theoretically I could but was not prepared to cross a picket line. I have worked nights before and hopefully will this year so at the time of the registration thought they meant come in before my shift on any given day as I have in previous years for overtime. I realise now they probably meant start earlier in the year.

I am up for doing overtime and very much need the standard christmas casual work, but I don't want to cross a picket line. How likely is it that I will be expected to cross a picket line? There are some issues with benefits if I refuse work so am concerned. Thanks.

I'm not 100% sure here, but I don't think you'll be asked to work on strike days - the reason is it's illegal for a company to employ staff to perform the work of striking employees.
