Striking Strategy

Would it not be better for maxium disruption for Mail Centres to strike Wednesday and Delivery strike Friday? As this would mean Delivery would have it really light Thursday (a waste of time coming in), strike Friday and then Saturday which should be a shorter day you would have too much to complete, or is the 2 days together more effective?

I agree - there will be nothing on delivery tomorrow so we should have gone in, then been on strike Sat. That way nothing gets done for effectively 3 days.

I think it would of had more of an impact if Deliveries were out first - after a night of the mail centres pumping the work in there would be a backlog created from the first minute. With the deliveries out tommorow & the mail centres out today, there wont be any backlog as all has been delivered & nothing has been collected ?? If you get my point ? When the mail centres return there will be no work for them to do & deliveries wont get hit hard Friday/Saturday morning unless the delivery office was connected to the mail centres.

The strategy implied this week is the poorest imo, start on deliveries & thru or just everybody out at the sametime. Stop all mix & Match strikes, it has no extra impact.

Yep I fully agree, it should delivery out first or leave a day in between the M.Cs and the D.Os, we're just doing RM a big favour tomorow.... they dont have to pay us for a day when there would be nothing to deliver anyway.
