Mandy in the "Other Place" :mfo Pat Mc Fadden in the "House"told to shut up
Big "Billy" calling "Mandy" a liar
Radio& T/V intervews all over "The National Dispute" even Posties on Sky T/V
C.W.U taking Royal Mail to court
Unite "up in arms" over letter from "Higgy"

Some thing tells me that the Pressure is building, dont remember this much Hype in 07

Think it could be drawn out. Hope im seriously wrong though. The fact that the RM have planned bigtime for strikes is very worrying and its looks (to me anyway) that they arent for backing down. They dont want to show the modernisation plans thats the top and bottom of it, which means thousands of jobs going, working 8 till 4 (inc sat), 1 manager per office (if that), the list goes on but the place will be unrecognisable if they get their way

The only thing that may come to our aid is the timing of the dispute with Xmas so close.

Mandy is getting drawn into this and for him atleast it's getting personal. You saw him say he was 'beyond anger' at the strike - whatever that means. He is a self-confessed 'fighter, not a quitter' (despite quitting twice front front bench politics) so if he gets entrenched and the RM won't budge this could run and run.

It's bigger because he is taking it on himself but where it will go is difficult to say. Front bench Labour are quivering at the back-bench support for us so Mandy is being encouraged to stand apart from the PLP (because he's not part of it really, he's his own man), and throw bricks at us. He's a strong personality and lets admit we have a weak PR position with Billy and Dave try though they do.

this whole thing is bigger than royal mail. it's about destroying peoples rights to be in a trade union. before you know it ,kids will be going down pits (if there were any!) this is the biggest confrontation of union v management (i use that term loosely) since the miners.this so called "labour" government has sold all working class people down the river. :mfo :mfo :mfo :mfo :cfo :cfo

My DOM reckons RM are planning big time to fight the CWU this time, and he is a man who is dying to get out on VR. Could be a bit of a fight ahead of us this time.

'cut and thrust so far?' Well, Big Billy could do a lot better, and I still have this horrible sinking feeling he might turn tail at the last minute!!!As far all the 'leaked' documents--I know where they are leaking from but am too polite to say.
