I'm sealing up my front door letter flap

Post by Jack Mehoff »

On thursday and friday I will be sealing my front door letter flap from the outside so no scab can put mail through my door. I can wait a few extra days for my mail to be delivered by a real Postman.
I was going to leave Yamamoto (my 12 stone Akita dog) in the front garden but then my house would have been black listed by the manager at my local DO.

Just don't forget folks the person delivering on thursday will be your normal postie, thats the problem with these different function strikes, public don't always know who's off when' was called a scab once or twice by members of the public, in 2007.

The strike is on for 2 days, so my letter flap is also on strike in support for the same 2 days.
It will also be closed when there are future strikes from now on.
Mandy might think that he runs England but I run my house. So if he wants to he can try and deliver my mail himself, but then I will be in my front garden instead of my dog and I can assure you that I am far more dangerous than my dog.

Too right. i agree with all of the above. Mandy may think he runs the show and can do what he wants because hes in a bad mood over the failure to privatise, but like you said, you run your house.

If it's my normal Postman then I will take the mail by hand as I'm not at work on thursday, but if it isn't then he/she can take it back to the DO.

Surely if your making your address inaccessible then potentially your mail could get killed off?

i would imagine that any manager/temp that tries to deliver to a taped up letterbox will just doorstep the letters

Would be great to catch some managers breaking their owns rules that they set.

I've just had my neighbour give me my mail, a casual tried to post it but he couldn't.
My neighbour said that the guy told them in broken english "Please can you take this letters for the next door house because the place for putting letters in is not functioning properly".
And some of thought I was playing when I said I was going to seal my flap.
Got to give him some praise though as he still managed to get my mail to me. It turns out he is a real postman on probation.
