Word was he pulled MP's in groups of three into the Office at Westminster for a Pep Talk - He is alleged to have said - " It's to protect the pension , no one is bothered except for the Unions " - A brash seaside town MP said " Peter , It's been a long time since you were a MP , I think you are a bit out of touch , If you said that in my constituency you'd be lynched " - Eyebrows were raised .
