call to arms

Post by collectionsarebest »

hello, i know im a newbie on here with only 2 posts, but i have worked for the dreaded cruciform for 10 years and in that time ive seen a great job ruined by managers, great blokes ruined by bullying managers, great pay (didnt say i was right all the time)turned into bad pay.
Now to my point, we need to get our views and experiences of what is happening and why we are on strike out there.
We need to be posting comments on news websites, phoning radio stations, whatever it takes to let the public know what is really going on. cos at the moment they see us as greedy postman who are only after more pay.
Come on people its our jobs, even you line managers, as nice as it is to be getting those bonuses do you really think they are gonna need full-time managers for part-time postman, but at least we get overtime for finishing off the walks unlike you mugs

I agree with you there, and the BBC web site seems to be very biased towards us, we need to get the truth out there some how!

We and the union have tried all this and more for little or no attention it is funny how when you miss something that is taken for granted that it is so dearly missed and thus gains attention!.

Totally agree, spend your M/R talking& educating the people we deliver to. They are unaware of the level of service that will soon face them if RM plans for " Modernisation " ( Service cuts / Job cuts ) are allowed to win the day

i feel sorry for my collections they get to listen to me going on at them all week long, they support us more than some of our own members
