Seriously though, my Dad is from the Isle of Wight, and was evacuated to Portsmouth when the Jerry's bombed the Ventnor radar station.
( He was in Suez when the first shot was fired...but he was back in Liverpool docks when the second one was fired!)

Sorry all, Operation Heron: It's to find the Idiot/Bigot/Racists who's posting stuff from Hants, even to nice Mr Brown, apparently.
The letters are of a serious nature, and police are trying to discover the sender, someone who doesn't like anyone, allegedly!
This sad sicko needs a lesson in respect, restraint and understanding. We live in a Multiracial, Multicultural society.
Good God, don't they know that the "Brit's" are Anglo-Saxon, (German) Jutes,(German) Normans,(French, and Scandanavian) Celts,(Austrian) Vikings, (Scandanavian). Britain spoke Latin and French for centuries, and we had Dane Lane/Danish Law in Northern England for years.
Read something about the history of Britain, and you'll discover a vast and varied background. Viva La Difference!!!!

And thanks for explaining what Operation Heron is. And I can now understand why you don't feel he's worth the effort! If someone's criticising us for delivering something, just because of it's contents. They should be lobbying the Government to change the Law, so that we can refuse to deliver things which are illegal. For example: Hate Mail (as in this case), Leaflets which could incite Racial, or other tensions, etc..
