2) Pay off experienced posties and add surplus work to existing duties. Retain full complement of managers to maintain pressure on remaining posties.

Make changes to business such as cutting staff and employing more part-time staff before automation is implemented then realising after the implementation of automation that things are not working and then RM have to employ thousands and thousands of more posties this is what happened when the mail centres were first introduced and they still have not learned.
