Heard, allegedly that Taxi's were being used in Oldham to take Posties out on lapsing!! :crazy: so this is modernisation?

There's quite a few stories doing the rounds here in London regarding lapsing. One postie told his DIM he wouldn't be able to complete his round if he were forced to absorb more work, so what do you think his DIM did? The dim had somebody pulled off the IPS and had that person prep the postie's walk, so the postie had minimal prep, his part of the absorption was prepped for him, and if that's not crazy enough, he had a van ready and waiting to take the postie out to his duty. :crazy: :shock: The postie ended up doing less work, not more. :Very Happy

Been using taxis several times a week to get out on delivery (and go round drop boxes) since i started 2 years ago

All the vans are gone by the time PT guys start. Deliveries are meant to have been tied up so we can leave with van when we start but this has never happened.
