Lets be Friends

Post by dvbuk55 »

I'm putting this in Blue Shirts because I am a blue shirt but I feel sure everyone is going to get a dose of this and quite frankly the p*ss taking that goes on here you need it - and yes you all know who you are :chuckle

Today in WTL there was a 41 minute video using Mount Pleasant Mail Centre as the back drop with a load of actors pretending to be posties and managers in a "banter gone too far" video on what is and is not acceptable in the workplace and Oh boy is it a pearler - I won't go into too much detail because it will spoil it for you all - but take the popcorn and coffee in with you! You old people don't start falling asleep and you young ones keep your hands to yourselves in that darkened room. :chuckle :chuckle

I'd love to see this, and the last one we had. I queried the gaffer as to why we hadnt ssen the last one to which he said they'd sent him the dvd and it was in his office, unfortunately we dont have a dvd player at our place.

Funny thing was he asked if i wanted to take it home and watch it. Like f*** do I.

Well I am sorry to disappoint you but the video comes with its' very own presenter - in our case a lady - the DOM and Managers aren't involved - though it is critical of both posties and managers in the film - I had some difficulty following the plot and the motivational aspects seemed weak :left: :left: :left:

The really boring part is having to discuss it at the next WTL :whistle

Our office gave it a PG rating, no need for long macs :Very Happy

Our WTL is in two sessions of 30 mins, cant wait until next week
The acting is sub standard-east enders (which is funny as one of the actors is http://www.bbc.co.uk/eastenders/charact ... ax_b.shtml) Has a lot of swearing, which is supposed to be hard hitting
I have to say in all the years i've been in the RM (over 20  ) ive never seen a more patronising load of rubbish, obviously dreamt up by people that have never worked in the industry.Just a complete waste of time.

OK, we had this video over 2 years ago (truth is we had half of it and then it was forgotten about) so I'm surprised they are putting it out again now!!!

If you have a screen in your canteen then, at the back of that is a dvd player/ pc unit just for this very thing (I think anyway).
