It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

O.T. Based on a True Story

INT. MANAGERS OFFICE- DAY
Manager sitting at his desk, "working". A Postie appears at the door, laden with bags.

POSTIE: It's a heavy day. I'm going to be an hour over my time, so I'll need to claim if I'm to get the duty cleared.

MANAGER: Claim? But you were finished early yesterday.

POSTIE: I worked to my time yesterday.

MANAGER: But you were finished early the day before that.

POSTIE: No, I was covering part of a duty on Flexability, which took me extra time.

MANAGER: (desperate) And what time did you finish the day before that?

POSTIE: That was Sunday.

MANAGER: (blink)

POSTIE: So, can I claim then?

Managment response which follows this resembles a toddler tantrum that would rival anything seen in your local superstore.
