I have been made aware that there could be proposals forthcoming to close all delivery offices within towns that have 2,000 residants or less, they would have to pick there post up from the local council offices. How's that for modernisation and how many offices over the country will that effect????????????????

Ahhh the starburst strategy. I work in a small DO which is a blatant target for this type of downscaling. Just because it works for squaddies or binmen does not mean it will work for postmen/women FFS!

That's what I heard, smaller DOs moved into a super DO, in my case to Mallusk

Most of the SPDOs have been closed in our area and the few that remain will likely close in the next couple of years. I thought closure of SPDOs was something RM was doing nationally. I haven't heard anything about people having to pick mail up. That bit sounds like bs to me, as has been said it is against the USO.

since when do RM caee about the USO we have been told that our new times will be 8am till 4pm im sure the USO states that last letter for town deliveries is 2pm :lfo :cfo
