Hi, I recently sprained my ankle and couldn't get into work so consequently was off sick for a couple of days. The sequence of events were as follows:
Monday, out delivering letters, sprained ankle, but finished walk
Tuesday, into work, explained what had happened, threw off walk, went home about 9am
Weds, off sick (would have been my rest day)
Thur, off sick
Fri, off sick
Saturday, back to work as normal.
I got my wage slip and had only been paid for 2 days, Dom said because I went sick from the Tuesday afternoon it was all I was entitled to. My problem is surely working 2 and a half days is, physically, working 2 and a half days in anyones line of work, especially as we are on a weekly basis it is simplified or am I missing something.

Get onto your Rep ASAP. You worked that half day, so they have no right to withold the money. They're trying it on.

unfortunately you will get a lot of that - deliberately confrontational - RM don't quibble about paying their " gardening leave army " & bonuses . That can be a offence under the Wages Act 1992 - possible illegal withholdingandy2007 wrote:Get onto your Rep ASAP. You worked that half day, so they have no right to withold the money.
