can somebody shed some light on this please i ordered some drain rods they arrived but unfortunelythey were wrong they are 2 metres long and came by parcel force, rang p f to return the rods but they told me sorry cannot take rods as there to long ,can anybody explain this please

For UK items we accept parcels up to 3 metres length and girth (measured around its thickest part) combined and 1.5 metres for the greatest dimension.

no offence but how come parcel force delivered them .(5x2mtr)rods

I've seen (a) a 12 foot long fishing rod and (b) a van bumper that only just fitted diagonally in a Combo with a couple of inches to spare. If a sub-postmaster accepts such an oversize item then Royal Mail has little alternative but to deliver it.
