Post by Martin Walsh »

What a day today is going to be !!

The results of the 157 London strike action ballots will be revealed today. Its feels a great day to be in London and the CWU. Whislt not being over confident , we have done the work , held meetings in every workplace on more than one occassion and our members have never let us down.

All will be revealed later today.

I want a strike, fed up of the abuse of the Pay and Modernisation agreement and Managment bullying tactics.

I'll hazard a guess at 84% in favour of a YES vote.

:Applause Please, what time will the results be announced? I can hardly contain myself-----I hope it's a resounding yes, and this may just give the courage to everyone else---nobody wants to go on strike--but we NEED to.

 MANY GREETINGS TO ALL. YES, I HAVEN'T BEEN ON RMC FOR EONS AND A COLLEAGUE HAS DRAWN MY ATTENTION TO THE LONDON VOTE RESULTS. HAVE TO ADMIT THAT I'D FELT PRETTY ALONE IN THINKING THAT THE 'AGREEMENT' OF 2 YEARS AGO WAS INDEED A BULLIES CHARTER. IT CERTAINLY IS IN MY (BH & DT codes) AREA. MY OWN OFFICE STARTS ALL WEEK 'SUMMER LAPSING' MONDAY. SO MY 43 HOUR WEEK DUTY NOW BECOMES A 45+ HOUR WEEK DUTY! THOUGH I'M PAID (PAY, HA!) FOR A 40HW.....
BY THE BY - CAN ANYONE LET ME KNOW THE (PRECIS IS OK) BASIC DETAIL OF WHAT LONDON VOTED UPON?
AND THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR RESTORING MY FAITH. TO ME ROYAL MAIL IS AN OUTFIT THAT ONLY EXISTS TO SCREW ITS STAFF - IT CERTAINLY DOESN'T EXIST TO GIVE ITS CUSTOMERS (AND WE ALL ARE CUSTOMERS) A DECENT SERVICE FOR THE MONEY!
VERY
