That's disgraceful! So far, we still have a proper presentation, when someone gets a long service award. But there's time yet. :sad:

we have just had three retire 30yrs 33yrs and today one of 44yrs no recocnition at all not a thank you or kiss my arse and no time for the staff to say good luck, what a utter disgraceful company we are working for. :cfo :cfo :cfo :cfo

And how exactly are you going to get 30+ years in at a new Employer, if you've already done that long in RM?
How old do you want us to be, when we retire?
Or do you expect us to work until we die?

Is it REALLY too much to ask, for 10 minutes or so, to say thankyou for staying with RM for so long. Rather than changing jobs every few years, and consequently wasting lots of Company money, on training?

i think the general view is appreciation .this is the dichotomy of royal mail read the courier and its a utopian heaven visit a delivery office and see the reality.like others have mentioned ten minutes to sit down and chat with the menber of staff and say thanks is that really a hardship.
