Hi,
I am due to go on holiday for a week today but have come down with sickness so I didnt work today. Does this mean because i can't do a return to work I won't get paid for my holiday. I have been with RM for less that a year so I dont get paid sick leave.
Any help with this would be great.
Thanks
Alan

My advice would be as soon as you are fit for work ring your manager even if you are on leave. As a trialist they only let you have ISTR 2 absences or 7 days before they stage you. I would ring Monday morning before you are due in and when you know he will be there. They may ask you to come in and work but that will be up to you.

Re: Returning to work after sick
You usually get your return to work form completed when you return to work. You must phone your manager and let him/her know when your last day of sickness is because if you are off sick at the moment and you are due to go on holiday and you do not phone your manager your holiday could be counted as sick leave even though you are not paid sick leave, so you need to phone your manager on Monday if you holidays starts Monday coming or leave a message on the answering machine if this method is used in your office.
