It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: households
You've got 2 choices....
Print out 5-12 and waste your ink
or
Ignore the managers when they tell you you have to do it in your own time and let them take you down the conduct code.

Re: households
It's a good idea to copy it onto a memory Stick, and carry it round with you. That way, if they take you into the Office, you can hand it over, and ask them to see for themselves, what the agreement says.

Re: households
There was another post about this.
I got told i had to prep them in my own time so i took this doc in.
Got told there's been a lot of disagreement over this and union have agreed its out dated document and we have to prep them in our own time or just take them out in our bags loose.
I know this is crap but local union don't know the rules so i have to accept this crap the manager has told me.They see it as a trivial point so don't want to help i think.
So i can't get any joy from union and if i kick off manager says come back and throw them off when you've finished. He knows i make time some days,so i either have to slow time it and say i don't have time or just accept it.
I thought this document was going to be my saviour but it didn't work for me.I'm still having to come in 10 mins early a few days a week :(

Re: households
I make up my D2Ds in the office everyday, in front of the manager when I'm asking for help and as yet nothing has been said to me (the rules are just that and have to be the same everywhere).

Re: households
If your manager insists you do it in your time tell him you're taking Royal Mail to a tribrunal as 1.67p or what ever for each one is less than the minimum wage for the volume you'll do properly in an hour. That should put the twit in his place

F can't wait for the first poster to say 'our dom says we have to prep our walks in our own time, cos RM only pays for the outdoor element'. You know it's just a matter of time
