I am leaving cwu
Hello after numerous discussions (ha ha) with my CWU rep I have decided to quit Cwu as they are not helping not only me but most of my office is Royal Mail a closed shop or can I join another union?
I have had enough of the CWU letting me and others down
thanks in advance for any help
P.S yes I know I could become a rep but the whole union is non helpful have tried asking senior reps for help but no reply ,tells me all I'm afraid

Seriously RM only recognize the CWU , by EEC law you could have a ballot to be in another Union providing you get the majority in the workplace ?

exaandt do you mind if I ask how long you have been in the job and how long in the union.

It saddens me that you choose this path comrade.
Times are not good at the moment, what with Royal mail trying to grind us into the floor and the union seemingly unable to muster enough balls or support to stop them. Its times like this that we need to stand together.
It angers me to see fellow workers eargerly chasing an ever shrinking carrot, thinking they can still make time if they come in early and use thier cars on delivery.
Those same people thinking that management will leave them alone if they are good little soldiers.
Its going to be a long hard slog fighting for our futures.
But FIGHT we Must!.
The only way we can do this is by standing TOGETHER!

in fighting between reps between branches between divisional and national reps. communication is not as good as it could be
all sorts of problems and discrepencies and yet the ideal of the union and all of its work is the only thing that has kept our terms and conditions what they are today. Do you really think management want to pay for our breaks do you really think they want us to have sick pay seniority the only reason we are getting above minimum wage is because of the union. The only reason we are not already wearing orange uniforms is because of the union so wake up and smell the f***ing coffee yeh
it aint perfect but it is the only voice we got!

well said my friend, thats all we have got the Union. we have no electable political party that fights our corner , so for all its faults, its either the Union or bust.cackhill wrote:in fighting between reps between branches between divisional and national reps. communication is not as good as it could be
