After reading this Forum ,I am amazed at the diference between offices,we rareley have easy days,do have slighter eaier easier days but only slightly .Our Management at present are reasonable.Just amazed at the diffrent practices in all offices, crazy when you think RM is a national Company, whilst I CAN UNDERSTAND SOME LOCAL VARIANCE,but almost every office is diffrent .

Re: Variances between Offices
One thing I have noticed is that there's very little communication considering it's that sort of business...
There's a vast difference between our office and the one about 5 miles away. Morale is much better in our office than theirs, they have longs and shorts, we don't.

Re: Variances between Offices
As I've posted on here somewhere before, there is a huge difference between offices. I know someone who does a walk on SA, think he does it on a rota system. I cannot understand how his office can afford this, yet ours is constantly cutting hours.

SA a type of frame? i.e. smaller version of RM2000
bigger offices always get cuts first, its like the smaller ones are forgotten about. makes me wonder why people want to work at the bigger offices

SA is Scheduled Attendance,it's overtime at a higher rate.
To Continue To Offer Reasonable Local Earnings Levels Is in the P&M deal so offices should quote this.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Variances between Offices
SA only paid at the higher rate to part time staff when they pass the magic 40 hours, anything under the 40 paid at normal rate
