back to work interviews shud u not have one the 1st day back of sick or before u start work that day i no some companies work that way just in case u not back to full health ets.
i whent back to day after been sick with bad back managers did not even say hello or how are u now do they give a shite or we just donkeys
at my do we can get a back to work interview the next week then they ask things like are u ok to do your walk ets its a joke.
You should have one the day you return to work your manager should ask how you are and you should be greeted back on return the idea of these interviews is to find out if you are fully recovered if there is anything you need to help you or if there is anything they need to know about or weather there is anything that they should be aware of for future ref, also to ask if you have any worries or concerns.
I always got the impression RTW interviews existed so that our line managers (who, as we all realise, know more about health than any GP) could offer their expert assessment on matters medicinal without proper medical qualifications.
I had a serious medical problem a while back. The OHS and 2 consultants offered their professional assistance and expertise to get me right and back into work.
This was totally at odds with the opinion of the DUM who seemed to think he knew more than anybody else about such things. Apparently he has no medical qualifications either and didn't like that fact being mentioned.
Our DIM is a top heart consultant, bone consultant, top GP,Kidney consultant, you name it there is no end to his talents he surpasses himself every time,i got the impression that he works for kings, St Thomas's not to mention Harley Street.

OOOOOOOHHHHH Missus. Just about sums up the DIM'S/DUMS and any other name you wish to call them. I had an AOD the other month and the 2 DIMS came to my front door on the pretext that i'd forgotten to fill the time!!!! Is this allowed and to date have not had a RTW chat!!!! Now what happens? Amateures running proffessional staff

MURDERERS. Need to dispose of a body? Simply parcel it up and post it to yourself via DHL. You will never see it again.

The second one as far as I am aware but only in cases where a stage has been triggered. However, I think you would have a strong case if they tried to add it to any other periods of absence that do trigger a stage if they have not carried out the RTW interview.
