New scam

Like many of you we have a collection from the local Tesco.

It went like this -The crim had addressed/stamped large envelopes in their trolley & as they went up the CD/DVD aisle
they would lift the said items & place them in the envelopes & seal them up .As they walked by the pillar box in the shop they dropped them in --no one suspected a thing as it all looked normal enough.

Our collections guy went about his job emptied the box into his sack,& walked out the shop as he got to the doors the
alarms went off ,but no one from Tesco challenged him ,their security team would always pick on a shopper leaving the store ,while the unsuspecting postie would march out & jump into his van & head off to his next collection .

Meanwhile the crim had the goods delivered right to their door .But they got a touch greedy with their success, they stuffed even more goodies into the envelopes they got away with this for a few weeks until the Tesco security boys actually did their job by watching the security videos. The boys in blue were called in when the scam was sprung.
The police waited until our postie set off the alarms had a quick fumble thru the sack until they found the stolen goods, got the address
they they paid the crim a visit in the next morning just as their mail arrived & caught them red handed.

Obviously the police had been in talks with our manager as the scam came to light -so their operation had the backing of RM .
The postie on the collection has had the pish ripped out of him since the story broke --how the feck did you get that wide screen telly into yer sack .

The crims could have got off scot free if they hadn't been so greedy -- :no no
I in no way see this as a good thing but, if some of these crims who are clever enough to have thought this one up actualy put their minds to doing a proper job, they would make more money the honest way. This is simple and clever. (But not reccomended)

The ones I've seen, you have to get past the check outs to get o the postbox. Not hard I know, but increases chances of being caught.
