Poor bloke, sure he's in for a day of ridicule but hopefully nothing else
Possible that the brakes were shot but in that case shouldn't be using it on delivery. I think the HCT should be designed that the brakes are on unless you pull a lever, would save on applying the individual brakes every time they need to stop

Several of our trolleys still move even with brakes working (and I mean you can tell they're on) when you turn your back 
. Best, was a lady who was parking her car (badly) into an allocated residential bay (not her house) whilst on her phone. She managed to wrap the brake cable/wire around her number plate. 
Tried to blame me for "damage" and tried to film until I politely pointed out that there were cameras showing the parking restrictions and being on the phone etc as well as hindering a postman in their duties and that I was phoning the police.

I have hit 4 vehicles with runaway trolleys over the years.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
