Pens!

Driving me mad! Either they leak in your pocket, or just give up the ghost altogether. What's the secret guys? Surely there must be a preferred type of pen you experienced chaps use. Put me out of my misery someone please!

iv been using a twisty pen... but i dropped it and it wont twisty now...

do any of you get issued with a pen or do you supply it yourself

i take 3 bookies pens with me, or if im lucky wil get one of the dom, if they want us 2 have fancy pens then bloody cough up with the muny, not bein tight arsed or anything, not my responsibility!

yer we get them at work papermate things not that good and a pain to get the top off with mail ets in hands lol

I use the papermate flexigrip pens. A bit expensive - about Â£1.20 each, but you can get 5 for Â£3.50
occasionally at WH Smiths.
They have a click top, and don't have tops so they are easy to stick in your shirt pocket and use.
They seem to be the choice of most firms I used to collect from, round the City of London.

I use these gel pens from Tesco - 85p per pack of 3 never leak but the ink does run when its wet.

We have never seen, been offered or provided with a pen, although I'm sure we'd be issued with something which isn't the most suitable for us if we were.

I'm sure that technically a pen is a required tool in order to do the job therefore legally it should be provided by the Company. You could refuse to do any kill-offs, Signed For's and Special Deliveries because you haven't been provided with the tools to do so; (of course you wouldn't be able to fill in your DTD and Timesheets either).

I got 2 parker pens but I wouldn't used them at work as I know I will lose them. So cheap pens is better for work, but it is not good enough though.

When one of our blokes asked the Area Delivery manager (who was in charge of us at the time) for a pen,he said "What do you need a pen on delivery for ? " I kid you not,aren't our leaders wonderful!

I always take 2 pens out with me just in case i lose 1 or 1 stops working. Normally only cheap biros!!

Sometimes we end up having to use the free charity pens that come out of the D2D's for Callers, so much for looking professional

I normally have to go out and buy stuff out of my own pocket for Callers like Marker Pens, Selotape etc, ask the managers to order stuff but it never gets done

I steal mine from my boyfriend who gets them free in his job at morrisons, 4 colour pushdown pens so if the black goes I use the blue, then If that goes its red or green until I steal another pen!

I have trouble with customers tying to nick my pens if I take out a nice one!
